Closets Warehouse Frequently Asked Questions

Closets Warehouse is a Deerfield Beach–based manufacturer-direct supplier of professional-grade modular closet systems. Our model is intentionally different from traditional closet companies: customers design and purchase their system directly, pick it up from our local warehouse, and handle installation themselves or hire their preferred installer. Removing delivery, installation, showroom, and sales-commission costs allows us to offer professional-quality closet systems at significantly lower prices.

1. What is Closets Warehouse?

Closets Warehouse is a local Deerfield Beach manufacturer and warehouse offering professional-grade modular closet systems directly to homeowners, contractors, handymen, property managers, and real estate professionals. Customers can select a preconfigured system or design their own closet using our online design tools.

2. Where is Closets Warehouse located?

Closets Warehouse is located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. All orders are prepared for customer pickup at our local warehouse. Our location is convenient for customers throughout Broward and southern Palm Beach County, including Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Parkland, Lighthouse Point, and nearby communities.

3. Why are Closets Warehouse prices lower than traditional closet companies?

We sell directly from the manufacturer to the customer. Our prices do not include home delivery, installation crews, in-home sales commissions, or expensive showroom overhead. By purchasing directly and picking up your order, you pay for the closet system rather than the additional services built into traditional closet-company pricing.

4. Are your closet systems lower quality because they cost less?

No. Our lower prices come from our business model—not from reducing the quality of the closet system. We supply professional-grade closet components designed with substantial ¾-inch panels, precision-drilled construction, adjustable shelving, durable hardware, and modular configurations commonly used in professionally designed closets.

5. What makes Closets Warehouse different from a typical closet company?

Traditional closet companies normally combine design, manufacturing, delivery, and installation into one package. Closets Warehouse separates those services. We provide the professional-grade closet system at a manufacturer-direct price, while the customer handles pickup and installation. This gives customers more control and can save thousands of dollars.

6. Do you provide closet installation?

No. Closets Warehouse does not include installation. Our systems are intended for self-installation or installation by a handyman, contractor, carpenter, or installer selected by the customer. By not including installation in the product price, we keep our closet systems more affordable.

7. Do you ship or deliver closet systems?

No. We currently operate as a pickup-only business. Orders must be collected from our Deerfield Beach warehouse. Eliminating shipping, freight, packaging, and delivery expenses is one of the ways we maintain manufacturer-direct pricing.

8. Why is warehouse pickup beneficial?

Closet panels are large, heavy products that can be expensive to package and ship. Local warehouse pickup eliminates freight and protective-packaging charges while reducing the risk of shipping damage. Customers should arrive with a suitable vehicle and bring blankets, padding, or other materials to protect the components during transportation.

9. What type of vehicle do I need to pick up my closet?

The correct vehicle depends on the height and quantity of your panels. Closet systems may include panels up to 84 or 96 inches long, so customers should confirm that their vehicle can safely accommodate the order. Pickup trucks, cargo vans, trailers, and larger SUVs may be appropriate depending on the system. Measure the vehicle’s cargo area before pickup.

10. Can I inspect my closet system before leaving the warehouse?

Yes. Customers should inspect all panels, shelves, drawers, rods, and hardware before loading the order. This helps confirm that the correct components are present and allows any visible issue to be addressed before the order leaves the warehouse.

11. Are your systems suitable for DIY installation?

Yes. Closets Warehouse systems are designed for homeowners with reasonable DIY skills and basic tools. Components are precision-cut and pre-drilled to simplify assembly. Every system must be properly secured to the wall, and customers who are not comfortable completing the installation should hire a qualified handyman or contractor.

12. Can a handyman or contractor install the system for me?

Yes. You may hire any qualified handyman, carpenter, contractor, or closet installer. Because installation is separate from the purchase, you can compare local labor prices and choose the installer you prefer rather than paying a bundled closet-company price.

13. Do you offer help designing my closet?

Yes. You can use our online reach-in and walk-in closet design tools to plan a system around your measurements and storage needs. You can also schedule a free consultation through the website for assistance selecting suitable tower sizes and configurations.

14. Do you sell reach-in and walk-in closet systems?

Yes. Our modular towers can be used for reach-in closets, walk-in closets, bedroom closets, linen storage, utility storage, and other organized spaces. Reach-in systems usually use one wall, while walk-in designs may combine systems along the back, left, and right walls.

15. What closet configurations are available?

Available configurations include long hanging, double hanging, hanging with shelves, shelf-only towers, and selected towers with drawers. Different sections can be combined to create a layout based on the amount of long clothing, folded clothing, shoes, accessories, and double-hanging space you need.

16. What sizes are available?

Our modular system uses 18, 24, and 30 inch nominal shelf widths. With side panels, a single tower finishes at approximately 19.5, 25.5, or 31.5 inches wide, so measure your space against the finished width, not the shelf width. Standard system heights are approximately 84 inches for 8-foot ceilings and 96 inches for taller closets. All standard shelves and tower panels are approximately 14 inches deep.

17. How deep are your closet systems?

Our systems are approximately 14 inches deep. This provides useful shelf storage without making the closet feel unnecessarily crowded. Clothing on standard hangers will extend beyond the front of the panels, which is normal for a closet system of this depth.

18. Can the shelves be adjusted after installation?

Many of the shelves are adjustable. The vertical panels use a precision-drilled 32mm European hole pattern, allowing compatible shelves and hardware to be repositioned without drilling new holes. Certain structural shelves remain fixed to keep the tower stable.

19. Can I add more shelves, rods, or other parts later?

Yes. The modular design makes it possible to purchase many individual components separately, including shelves, hanging rods, panels, hardware, toe kicks, and selected drawer components. Availability depends on the size and configuration of your existing system.

20. How do I get started?

Begin by carefully measuring the closet or room, including wall widths, ceiling height, doors, trim, baseboards, outlets, vents, and other obstructions. Then use the appropriate online design tool to select a configuration that fits the space. After placing the order, select an available pickup date and time and collect the prepared components from our Deerfield Beach warehouse.
